Lucy Brooks is a trained linguist, and translates technical, commercial, and general documents from German, French, and Spanish, all into English She is a Fellow of the Institute of Linguists  (now Chartered - see logo above) and trained in London (Diploma for Linguists in Commerce and Industry, now the University of Westminster). She attended CommercialSchool in Lübeck, G ermany, and the Sorbonne in Paris. She also lived and worked in Spain for many years. She was one of the first members of the Institute to apply for Chartered Linguist status, granted in February 2008.
